Five days to explore one of Ireland’s most beautiful regions. Dramatic sea cliffs with crashing Atlantic waves contrast with ancient monasteries and historic castles to give you a real flavour of the country. The tour includes famous routes such as the Ring of Kerry as well as “off the beaten track” sites that will give you memories to last forever. Wherever you go there will be the chance to meet the locals in a traditional pub, sample the best local food and listen to traditional music. This is a tour that really gets to the heart of authentic Ireland.
Itinerary
Day One - Killbeggan & Cong
We leave Dublin and head towards our first stop at the oldest licensed distillery in Ireland – Kilbeggan. After a tour we make our way west to the tiny village of Cong – famous from The Quiet Man, before the scenic drive through the Maam Valley to Clifden.
Overnight – Station House Hotel, Clifden
Day Two - Galway & Cliffs of Moher
Today we depart Connemara and make our way to the seaside town of Galway, along the Wild Atlantic Way. After some free time to explore, we travel through the famous Burren and visit the iconic Cliffs of Moher.
Dinner / Overnight – Armada Hotel, Spanish Point
Day Three - Killarney
After breakfast, we depart County Clare and take the short ferry ride across into Kerry, with a visit to Tralee – renowned for its Rose of Tralee festival, to Kingdom of Kerry Museum. The afternoon is free in the beautiful lakeside town of Killarney.
Overnight – Killarney Riverside Hotel, Killarney
Day Four - Ring of Kerry
The highlight today is the world famous Ring of Kerry. Enjoy the scenic drive, with photo stops along the way plus some time for lunch in one of the picturesque coastal villages. In the afternoon we visit Kissane Sheep Farm for a truly memorable performance. This evening, we have a traditional Irish dinner with entertainment.
Dinner / Overnight – Killarney Riverside Hotel, Killarney
Day Five - Blarney & Cashel
Leaving Killarney we head east to Blarney Castle, built over 600 years ago, for chance to kiss the legendary stone! Our next stop on the day is in Cashel to visit the spectacular Rock of Cashel, before we make our way back to Dublin’s ‘Fair City’.
Return to Dublin by 7 pm
